Typing this in the Work-one / pre-breakfast interregnum, to try something different until I decide it doesn't work which it might but I like it so far... Christmas is done, or at least part of Christmas is done; the rough part of Christmas, the exercise in over-heated patience. Kirby's first Christmas and cool books, though were worth it: that massive collection of NEW YORKER cartoons, a massive collection which my grandfather took home with him because he spent most of yesterday laughing and enjoying them – highlight of the year, perhaps... the week's newsletter arrives in subscribers' inboxes +/-0930 ET... the day awaits.

Merry, happy, all that.
Things I learned yesterday: tofu falls apart quickly when you don't have papertowels to drain it out. Fortunately, this resulted in a culinary surprise: the start of a version of bibimbap – and the first Asian food I’ve gotten to eat in five years - that won't kill me. (More on the why of the tofu in this Sunday's newsletter.
I am still in love with my iClever folding keyboard, the “Baby Yoda” of keyboards, as K said.
The rain, it continues; the day, it awaits. Christmas, it is: my only tradition is the Madagascar Penguins Christmas special – Yes, Rico, ka-boom.

First post with the new mini-keyboard, the iClever Tri-folding wireless – picked it up yesterday because I wanted to separate the Work usage from the online writing usage and I hated the keyboard case which previously housed the iPad Pro – lack of a protective cover during non-work hours and required removal of keyboard to make it usable as an iPad wasn't conducive to its safety and longevity in this land of Kirby – and, other than getting used to the tinier keys, I love it. Quick connectivity, solid battery life. Also: fun to fold.
Finished THE MATRIX RESURRECTIONS last night and loved it. Hopefully the story of the new Matrix finds life as an HBO Max series – Bugs needs her own series – or even a new trilogy; it’s intriguing enough that I want to see more. Additional thoughts might come later or maybe not IDK.
A note written to myself in the NB re: MainFictionThing: "I have no clue what the fuck Im doing here... what is it becoming? (Exactly what it wants to be.)"
