Ohio – or at least this rural aspect of – loves singing its praises when it sets a record: it adores, especially on a local level, reframing the victories of others as a victory for "the community"; allow me, then, to speak of a record set yesterday: 12,502 new COVID cases reflecting an 18% test positivity rate, an all-time pandemic high.
Go team etc etc.
This is all of which I am certain: I'm going to be the most bitter, get-off-my-lawn, fuckallyall ghost when I die here of either an autoimmune disorder run amok (plague-wrought or otherwise) or being run over on the day's run by one of the ZEROMPG throngs; I will haunt the shit out of this place and jangle my chains and make all sorts of noise so pfffbt there.
The day awaits.
