Strategic heat-related outdoor work batching continues. Chair surgery with angle-grinder scalpel / welding this morning, inside-Shed stuff form postprandial XTREME HEATDOMEery. Did a background coat on a new canvas to paint this afternoon as well.

I enjoy painting while I’m painting but I hate the drying part, the waiting, blah blah blah: I’m impatient, always will be. Both of my main media, metal and words, are pretty frictionless - weld / write / done / the thing you put down is the thing that goes out. Add too many steps of a production process and my interest wanes. Still, painting remains a useful unsticking practice and a lesson in acquired patience – even if it doesn’t take as much as I’d like.

(I also only have one cheap paintbrush left because I’m terrible about cleaning brushes.)

XTREME heat warning through tomorrow, 2000, though I’ve been thinking it was tomorrow since this morning or maybe since last night hence today’s mislabeled Informality (though my writing is such that I doubt you could tell). Note: need to find more Flairs; dislike drawing Informalities with Sharpie.
