Following in the concept-riffing footsteps of the long (and still–) running Informalities (a variation on Lynda Barry's Attendance Cards), my new comics series, groundloops, a riff on David Lynch's ANGRIEST DOG IN THE WORLD, Lynch's 1983-92 strip in which he would hurl his trademark word/dreamplay across the same panel sequence.

Where groundloops differs: both our little protagonist's eyes and the sky will change along with the words in each strip, a fun little themes and variations for me to tinker with and, in theory, scratch another creative itch.

Doubt this will have any regular frequency, more of one of those "whatever I feel like whenever I feel like it" things but that remains, as ever, TBD.

If you've followed my work or internet brain for any period of time at all, you've no doubt learned that I call that hellish interregnum between the conclusion of a project and the start of another The Void (and yes, The The, as in The Morkie, is capitalized); this, The Void, being where I happen to be at the moment. So, thanks to a chat with the inimitable Kay Sohini (follow her work with abandon; it's brilliant) about our respective navigations of The Void, I found a way to cook a creature I scribbled into this little zine about what, exactly, The Void is.
