I'd had myself convinced that, after 25 years of running one website or another, I was content to let this one slide into the realm of quasi-active portfolio, content to let The Informalities speak for themselves but, after finding rss.social, I'm (once again) inspired to turn this back into a regular blog, to share half-baked or raw-dough morsels of thought that might become something larger or that might exist solely in the uncooked form. Preparations have been made for the great snow-pocalypse of 26, wine has been purchased, dusters for The Collection's long-overdue dusting which I swore I wouldn't do until I had glass cases because I was only doing it once but oh well. Oops.

Look I’m telling you I do intend to obey all of those links saved under "READ" in DoMarks (best bookmark app ever, period) but I've come to realize that I don't want something to read but rather something new to skim. Lesson being that it's time to pare back my online consumption habits to a more realistic, readable buffet and "rewild my attention," as Clive Thompson wrote. Also should institute a monthly culling of feeds and come up with a set of criteria for remaining in Reeder / Feedbin.
