Teaching myself bass: always meant to learn, never got around to it. Finally dove in when, as I got further with my drumming return, I found that the fingers on my left hand were pretty much useless - and remembered that running scales on a guitar or piano always helped. So, to merge the rhythm and the melodic(ish) - and check off a bucket list instrument - bass. Her name is bamAlam.

It was a messy, cold, mucky, multi-day fight with a stuck motor, but victory is mine: the pond waterfall runs once more.
First warm weather of the year, first big(ger) piece of the year. FANTASIA's one of my favorites, and "Night on Bald Mountain" is, as The Beatles once said, "the toppermost of the poppermost." This one already has a dream home in mind, but if that doesn't work out, I won't weep at having him hanging out in (or above) The Shed.
