Teaching myself bass: always meant to learn, never got around to it. Finally dove in when, as I got further with my drumming return, I found that the fingers on my left hand were pretty much useless - and remembered that running scales on a guitar or piano always helped. So, to merge the rhythm and the melodic(ish) - and check off a bucket list instrument - bass. Her name is bamAlam.
